Track Rules
You
will NOT BE REQUIRED to donate your car to the Silver Hill
Lions Club, Inc. You MAY NOT
take away any car that you did NOT bring. If you ELECT to leave the car
behind, you MUST leave it complete. (Only tires, battery and chains removed)
After each heat of the
finale each day, only the driver will be allowed to remove the
battery, tires and chains from the car he drove. You will have 30 minutes after the Grand Finale to remove only
these items. All other parts stay on
the car – Unless the driver wishes to take the entire car.
NO RANDOM
STRIPPING OF CARS.
All
car preparation and pre-race eligibility questions should be directed to pit
officials.(Orange Shirts) All questions
pertaining to the running of heats or finish order should be addressed to a
track official.(Red Shirts)
Only
a driver may protest a car or driver in a race. See a track official IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE RACE is
declared over. The race results are
considered official when the announcer announces them over the public address
system, so do not delay!
GRAND
FINALE winner subject to Post
Race Inspection.
Only the driver is
allowed on the track. Ever. Period.
If
a race is stopped, do not move your car until the race is restarted. Early movement will disqualify you. Hitting head-on or in a driver’s door is
prohibited. Track officials will be
watching and know the difference between accidents and on purpose hits. You will be disqualified from the derby for
the entire weekend if the officials see you hitting in another driver’s door.
The Pit Rules:
The
use of alcohol or drugs by driverS IS
STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
You
must be 16 years of age to enter the pits. I.D. Required!
No
vehicles other than race cars or tow vehicles are allowed!
Pit
area speed limit is 5 miles an hour.
Speeders are disqualified from the derby for the entire weekend!
Decisions
of pit or track officials are final!!!

REINSPECTIONS
WILL BE CONDUCTED THRU-OUT THE EVENING
